Capturing the good, the bad and the ugly of lesser-known Spain and now Southeast Asia
(1/125, F8, ISO100, 10mm)
This one really gets the feel of abandoned and deserted look!
Dramatic! What a fabulous place to be able to shoot! Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Thanks, it is, the timing was not too good, but will return with better light! (You’re welcome!)
REALLY like this shot
Thanks very much, Jamii!
I love the great composition and beautiful tones.
Thank you very much, Philip, very glad you like the toning, cuz I went further than ever in postprocessing I think! greetings, Ron
Well seen and shot. Great in black and white
Thank you, Hutch, didnt work for me in color, too much chaos!
Great image. Stark!
Thanks very much, Stephen!
That’s amazing! I love it. 🙂
Thank you very much, Gabriele!
Wow. Love this very good lighting and perspective. Stunning shot 🙂
Thanks very much, Stephen! Your compliments are hugely appreciated.
A very interesting angle!, most people would have tried to get a shot of the cushionside of the sofa. The way you shot it is much more powerful and effective. Whats on the couch? : )
Thanks, Henrik, that was the most logical option, but I liked the fabric straight on the back! Probably dissappointing to hear there were only some stained cushions on it?
hahaha my imagination runs wild even without the boring truth Ron! ; )
Than that was already by far worth the choice of shooting the back of it for me 🙂
I want one.
A huge abandoned anti-tuberculosis building?
Gracias, Manoli! Saludos
Me encanta el ambiente de esta foto.
I like how the two lines of the floor (coming out of the picture) mirror the tree branches. Good shot.
Thank you, in PP I was trying to get those tree branches and expanse as big a role as possible!
PP? What does that mean? Post production?
Oh, yes, sorry, post production! Meant to say that apart from the coach my main focus was to get those trees and the expanse of the place into my photo 🙂
Looks pretty comfortable!
It was and being the only one in this huge building, I was very happy with it!
Amazing picture. Your B/W are fantastic
Muchas gracias, Roberto! Just cannot live without a bit of color once in a while 🙂
Glad you like it, John, thanks for your comment!
Thank you, Sandra!
Oh not dead, surely? Just looking for a house-move.
True, but ‘Not dead sofa’ didn’t sound to interesting as a title?
Very well chosen view maximising the composition opportunities.
Thank you, most importantly I wanted the composition to show the trees through the broken windows, the sofa ofcourse and the expanse of the place…
Eerie and well done!
Didnt want to scare nobody, honestly 🙂 thanks!
