Spaceship Landing

Spaceship Landing

Here´s the second on the ancient Moorish bathhouses in the South of Spain.
Taken in the most central big room of the same Bañuelo in Granada, the oldest  intact (correction from yesterday!) muslim structure in Spain dating from the 11th century.

    • Hello Paul, thanks for your support! Personally i like the contrasty darker tones when photographing mountains, cuz they look even more powerful, same goes for the b&w…
Glad you enjoy it, cheers, Ron.

  1. I love the use of b/w here-it really pulls out the architectural details and the light-wow! It is as if I can sense the feel of the texture of the walls and the floors-I love your architectural images-

    • Hello Meg, lots of times when I try to photograph mountainous landscapes i think in black and white cuz the shapes and contrast are its main characters, i think – thank you and very kind of you to compliment on my architecture shots, there are so many textures in the old places around Spain, unbelievable source of inspiration to me…
All the best to you, greetings, Ron.

    • Thank you, Maria, very glad i could show you this amazing space and the way they build it to make maximum use of available light.
      Cheers, Ron.

    • Thank you very much, Marianne! Glad you liked it, i got this idea after several visits and i thinks the light and shapes are unseen anywhere else.
      Have a great weekend, Ron.

    • Gracias, Lisa! For me the shaped light through the holes and the ancient textures you mentioned were my main goals to get into my photos, thanks for noticing and enjoying. All the best to you, Ron.

  2. Close encounters of the third kind in the bathhouse. Hehehehe. Another great photo. Those cutout shapes in the ceiling are so fascinating. I’ve never seen anything like it before.

    • Little late and hoping youre offline period will be fruitful, but thanks nonetheless for being so supportive and enthousiast and inspiring!
Hope all goes well, greetings and good luck, Ron.

    • Beetje laat, maar nog altijd beter dan nooit 😉
Dank je, vind dit ook een van de betere van de serie, maar zoals dat gaat met series; you can not have one without the other!
Geniet nog van je vakantie, groet, Ron.
