Sugar Mountain
(1/250, f7.1, iso-100, 70mm)
Back to a roadtrip I made last June with one of my best friends. This was a view of the tiny (11 habitants!) village of Salinas de Trillo and the high Pyrenees behind it.
This feels so long ago and so far away being in Malaysia for a month already. We do have an amazing view from our place over the city with the jungle mountains surrounding it, but the ´sugary´ tops are missing…
Have a great holiday and new year, y´all!
a great shot. I especially like the clouds and the mountains in the background. beautifully captured!!!
Hello Suze, thank you very much, it was such an 360-view that i didnt know where to look and what to take but glad some of it came across 😉
Warm greetings from Kuala Lumpur, Ron.
Thank you for liking “Reflections.” Wow, what a beautiful photo! I like the contrast between the dark green mountains in the foreground and the light hues of the mountains and clouds in the background. The Pyrenees and the clouds look so ethereal.
You are very welcome! Thanks for stopping by and enjoying the view with me 😉
I love those green hills and mountainviews!
Hope all is well, all the best, Ron.
Well done!
Thanks very much, Seb, sorry for late reply! Great memory comes with this view too 😉
Hope all is great, like your photos, greetings, Ron.
Very beautiful
Dank je wel, lijkt zo ver weg nu, maar gelukkig hebben we de foto´s nog 😉
Fijn weekend, Ron.
absolutely brilliant… and your place sounds great as well, albeit without the sugary tops 🙂
Wow, thanks very much, very cool of you to say!
and indeed it´s totally different here but as interesting so far…
Greetings, Ron.
Stunning!
Thanks, my thoughts exactly when coming round the corner, but my trips in the Pyrenees were always filled with lots of ooooh´s and aah´s 😉
Greeting, Ron.
What a stunning shot … the scene goes on forever!
Thank you very much, it does doesnt it, such amazing mountains they are, the Pyrenees!
Happy travels for 2014, Ron
There is nothing like layers and layers of mountains with different colors. I know you must be missing Spain but it sounds like you got out before the cold weather arrived. I finally made my way up to Zaragoza and discovered the fierce Cierzo winds late in November. Nobody warned me before. Enjoy the warm weather of your new home.
Hola Eduardo, totally agree and the Pyrenees have so many of these views to offer, dearly missed althoug the green mountains i see from my home to seem inviting, not snowcapped like in Spain, but still….
I read about the Cierzo being very fierce now, such a weird phenomenon; if you move 20 kilometers north or south out of the Ebro valley it gets much better!
Happy travels in 2014 and thanks for your support, Ron.
Stupendous shot!
Thanks so much, Dan, great to hear! Have a superb 2014, Ron.
Fantastic shot. And very near my hometown too.
Gracias, and you make me jeaulous, where is your hometown?
Sabiñánigo, 60km to the west 🙂
AH,know it very well; hiked from there up to Otal once, beautiful there. Loved the sierra de guara too. Visited a lot when i lived in Zaragoza!
Saludos
Terrific photo.

Hi Gunilla, thanks a lot for your enhtousiasm; these parts of the Pyrenees are still so silent and unspoilt!

Love the different shades as the mountains recede… And that little place is just so remote! Happy holidays to you, and all the best for 2014
Thanks very much, Sue, same to you, hope all your wishes come true this year, enjoy the ride!
Views like this are dearly missed although i cannot complain with new horizons here 😉
Greetings, Ron.
