While visiting the Semengoh Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre in Malaysian Borneo we were very lucky to encounter a family of Orang Utangs. Because it is the fruit season now and they don´t need to come down to the feeding platforms with over 630 hectares of fruity forest at their disposal.

If I remember well this male Orang Utang was called Ritchie and he was waiting to cross the road to join his wife and son and venture further into the jungle…

  1. I am so very jealous. Some day I hope to make it to Borneo to look at these wonderful animals. I have been researching them in order to sculpt one out of steel and have visited the zoo in DC to see them but it must be amazing to see them in their own country. Great picture!
